The challenge

In an AI-driven world, how do you stand out?

There was a time when possessing information was all-powerful. That time has gone. Information is everywhere and abundant. What sets us apart is getting attention, and how we deliver it. That is how we stand apart from the competition.

To get people’s attention, we have to be real, authentic and human.

The way that you get attention and deliver information is critical.

The solution

We all pitch, all the time.

Whether you are a business leader, run a sales floor, sit on a multi-billion-pound bid, or in fact interact with any other human being, you are pitching every day. We do it naturally and spontaneously.

The only question is whether your people are choosing how they pitch, or leaving it to chance.

In the world of AI, being human is your superpower.
What you get, in detail

The part that very few people prepare for: how it is delivered.

When people prepare a pitch, they work on the content and the slides. What they avoid is how they will deliver it. This is where storytelling comes in. How do you convince and persuade? How do you tell a story that makes sense? How do you make a complex message feel simple? How do you get the room to lean in instead of switching off?

Storytelling

Make them lean in

How to be compelling and persuasive. How to tell a story that makes sense, so a complex message lands simply and the room leans in instead of switching off.

Clarity

Cut to the point

Losing the jargon and the waffle, so the message is obvious, clean and easy to say yes to.

Presence

Hold the room

Voice, pace, posture and composure. How you command a room before you have said a word.

Connection

Empathy on purpose

The things we love about our friends are the same qualities we look for in the people we do business with. We build those in.

Reading the room

Feel the moment

Knowing when to push, when to pause, and when the room is ready to move with you.

Being real

Your superpower

Staying human under pressure. Being real is not the soft part of pitching. It is the part that wins.

How it works

Three hours, three movements, one transformed team.

1

Reset on perspective

We work past ego, nerves and circumstance, so your people can walk in confident and grounded.

Most of what holds a room back happens before anyone speaks. We clear it first, so the delivery has somewhere to land.

They feel present, composed and ready before a single word is said.

2

Build the delivery

The craft of landing a message. The six things that very few people focus on:

  • Storytelling
  • Clarity
  • Presence
  • Connection
  • Reading the room
  • Being real

A message that lands, and an audience that leans in.

3

Live coaching

Real, interactive and live coaching of your business messages in the room. We don’t just talk about doing it — everyone gets the chance to stand up, explore, try out new ideas, and build the confidence to do it in a real, live business situation.

Proof they can do it, and the confidence to do it again on Monday.

By the end of the workshop, everyone will feel energised, with greater confidence and the ability to connect with the room.

Alan helped us produce compelling client presentations. He is able to come up to speed quickly with what the core messages should be and focus the whole team on how best to deliver those to the client. He knows just how hard to push individual presenters to polish their performance while boosting their confidence. A short time with Alan leads to big improvements in all aspects of a client presentation.

Alan’s charisma is immense and wonderfully engaging, whether he’s bringing together thousands of people or a handful. And what lies beneath is gold: incredible care, insight and wisdom. He’s a very safe pair of hands, making any event or pitch fun, polished and professional. Even where there’s chaos, delicate politics or tech challenges behind the scenes, he brings everything and everyone together masterfully, with easy charm, disarming humour, and laser-sharp focus on the goal.

Alan has done excellent work for me many times. He is able to grasp hold of what is needed and then motivate the team to deliver this. He commands the respect of all the team, whether executives, sales staff or bid teams, getting them to work together, pitching the same thing professionally and effectively.

Sales Directors

Turn a floor's product knowledge into rooms that actually convert.

Creative Agencies

Win the new-business pitch in the room.

L&D Leaders

A session that visibly shifts how your people communicate.

Anyone who brings a room together. If you gather people, this is your workshop.

This is not for you if…

  • You want to sit quietly for three hours, take the odd note, and collect a few tips and tricks.
  • You would rather shy away from actually learning, exploring and doing.
  • You never interact with other human beings.

AL coaches the part of the pitch or bid process that very few people develop: how it is delivered.

His workshops are intense and high-impact, and they work because participants are inspired, energised and able to develop live in the room.

If you expect a nod-along session and a few tips for a gentle afternoon, then you are in for a surprise.

Common questions

The things people ask before they book.

My team are senior. Is this too basic?

No. The more senior the room, the more the delivery is the only thing left to sharpen. AL coaches boards, bid teams and founders.

We are not a sales team.

Good. This is for anyone who has to inspire people: leaders, specialists, whole departments. If you need to be believed, it is for you.

How many people can take part?

Any group size. AL tailors the room to your numbers.

What do we need to prepare?

Nothing. Bring your people and something real you are working on. AL works live.

When can we run it?

Any date between 1 September and 31 October to lock in the autumn rate.

Book the workshop

September is when your team bursts back into life. AL runs every room himself — once the dates are taken, they are gone.
